Bought this book a while ago. It's a pretty cool read filled with photographs and interviews of mountain tribesmen. Definitely a different perspective of Filipino life.

Seems like a good book, but I know it not to be true.

Before Ramon Obusan died (he used to be head choreographer for the Bayanihan Dance Company) he told me himself he lost two dancers up in their mountain provinces. The warring opposing families took his dancer's jawbones and used it for the gangsas. And of course, they have their heads.

Not practice much anymore . . but they still do it on occasion.
