I'm strongly considering joing the U.S. armed forces, but as a Canadian, i'm not quite sure how, or if it would work. are there any recruiters etc. that may be able to shed a little light on this for me. clear info is hard to come by.

 I was in the Army with a canadian, crazy mother fucker. He had dual citizenship though, I think thats how he got in.

I don't think you need to be a US citizen to join the military.

There were actually a lot of Canadians that served in the US military during the Vietnam War.

Solid info about enlisting IS much harder to find than it should be.

My advice would be to reach out to a particular recruiter on the phone and ask them about it.

since people join as a vehicle to get citizenship, I would expect it should be easy to join as a non-citizen.
