except it's a football player, not a horse....

newspaper article says Tebow played through a sprained ankle, a hyperextended knee, and once finished a h.s. game with a broken leg....did not miss a game but "did take painkilling injections before most games."

I believe it's illegal to shoot race horses up with pain killers before a race- I wonder why foot ball players are allowed to play using "pain killing injections before most games"?

I know pro athletes have to perform while injured, yet-
Is this practice (pain killing injections before a match) common (and legal?) for MMA fighters as well?

local anasthesia is not unheard of in muay thai.

In muay Thai? You mean that thai linimint stuff? Or injections?

It's one thing to show your 'gameness' by fighting thru pain & injury, but to inject anesthestic to fight on seems all wrong to me....creepy...

not liniment, I'm talking about injections. I'm sure there are a lot of painkiller pills around in Thailand too.
