Not sure what to get.

I've already got a Mossberg 500 but now its time for the handgun.

Any suggestions?

Is the desert eagle worth the money?

I had a colt python 6 inch stainless a long time ago but sold it. It was freakin nice, but I think I need more rounds than just 6.

^ Damn, that's a dream gun of mine.

I didn't have the cash, so I went for a brand new Ruger GP100 in stainless steel, also 6".
It's heavy barrelled like the Python, but only $400. I love it.

Revolvers are a good choice because of they're on the less-restricted end of the handgun spectrum, they can take a wide variety of ammo, and they're simple to use and clean.

I'm thinking of a Desert Eagle 44 Magnum, Ruger Super Redhawk .44 Magnum, Colt 1911 .45 or maybe just a SIG Sauer

Reliability, power, and simplicity. Granted, at the potential cost of capactity and size.
I don't knock autos. I just think revolvers are a good choice for some people, especially as a first gun.
