Hey everyone... I know it's some time away, but I just wanted to give everyone the heads up for our 4th annual Michigan Open BJJ Tournament hosted by Caique and Warrior Way. As always, we will feature a double elimination format. We will do everything in our power to give everyone at least two matches for the day. Obviously, sometimes that is not possible if there are only 2 people in a division, but we will try to give competitors the option to go up a division or combine divisions if they want.

Keep checking Here for more information as it gets posted.

Can we have them fight a knife-wielding macaque and have that count as 1 fight?

That's no fair...that guy is using Crane Style against the monkey. He's obviously sandbagging and in the wrong division. Not allowed at the Michigan Open.

The first time I ever put one on, you choked me out!!

And in so doing, may just have created the whole TrainJudo monster!!

Caique is in town and we are looking forward to a fun tournament this Saturday! The competitor list is growing and we have a long list of schools showing up to compete!

Remember, only a few days left to register online. No registrations will taken the day of the tourny.

This was a great local tournament and well run. Some very tough fights.

Props to Garry Pippia(WW) in his blue belt 1st place finish 30-39. THis is the second year Gary has won and completely dominated. Next purple belt. And 1st place blue to Justin Nazaroff (judo brown belt and WW Blue belt in the tough middle weight brkt). Pat Spear in his very tough Brown Belt matches won 2/3 agaisnt his opponent from Greg Eldred's school in Ohio. Most skilled/tecknical fighting at the tournament.
