Since I'll be dating again soon, I need a wardrobe update. Any tips? The blazer, jeans, and boots look is OVER so don't recommend that just because I live in Dallas, please. I'm a professional, make okay coin, and older so dressing like a 20 yo frat guy isn't going to work either.

Basically, what style of dress do you like to see a man in?

Thank you,

And I'm seeing no help on this thread either. A chance to tell a man how to dress and what to buy wasted. I never thought I'd see the day...

Find girls you like. Find out how guys they are with are dressed like. That should give you an idea.

I dressed how the wife wanted me to dress and I'm tired of that look. Also, since she didn't want to dress up outside of 'having' to at work, she didn't really want me to, either. Does that answer your question?

Oops forgot about this, it is hard enough for me just to dress myself so when I went looking I was like...UGH...and everything I found was horrible. What would I know I shop in the juniors section at the store and dress like a 19 year old? Seriously, I suggest you go to a nice store and ask for help! Those people know what they are doing.

Nowhere near as much as gay men hate women IMHO, based on the fashions and shoes they create every year and tell women they MUST wear....

Seriously, guys - the worst thing we have to wear is a tie - a minor annoyance at best. Look at high-heeled shoes and other stuff like that that women wear - clearly designed by someone who hates women and wants them to suffer. :-P

metrosexual look is hot, IMO.  button up shirts, nice pants, good shoes, matching socks, clean hands, good haircut, clean breath, manscaping.  don't do too many layers.  I would have to know you a little better to give you really good advice about clothes, so it would match your personality.  no hats.

If socks are the same thickness, do they match? They FEEL the same.

I appreciate the advice. I'll have to get out and just hit the right stores I guess. If I can find a good store with a clerk to two that actually knows what's what, I should be fine. I just have had hit and miss luck with that.

what colors do you like?  what colors look good on you?  do you like to tuck your shirts in? (usually keep them out)

I don't know any good stores to recommend, besides Macy's.

My ex was a fashion merchandizer/interior decorator. She said the fall/winter/summer thing was dead and that the 'base colour' scheme was in. Okay, I'm a yellow-base so I can wear cobalt but not blue, burgandy but not red, brown but not black, etc. Any yellow based color is fine.
