anyone following this... rando online 10/20 hu guy called out negreanu for making 'condescending' comments in an interview. bet daniel he couldn't beat 10/20 6max for a stretch... daniel basically came up with ridiculous terms for the bet, so it wasn't going to happen, but then daniel graciously agreed to play 5k head up hands. daniel is getting outplayed (small sample size, but he is seemingly making many large errors) and is down about 5k now. but yeah, looks like dn's hu nlhe skill is not better than someone who doesn't rate to be near the best at 10/20. yes, obv small sample size:

JakeMacho - Most of the "tv pro's" can't hang with 10/20+ nl games online. The best players play online.

lol. Clueless.

another interesting thing about this is that phil galfond stated that daniel is better at holdem than gus, which obviously supports that gus is the reason those games run a lot of the time.

ignore wooosaaaa5, he is clearly trolling. take his statement to mean that he agrees with you. he trolls several different forums, and although his style is not very subtle, he still seems to hook many people- that, i can't figure out.

Daniel has so much else going on he doesnt "have to" play for a living like he used to.

It seems to me that his game has gone down, he calls way too much on high stakes poker show.

He doesnt want to be bluffed out of pots at all, almost like a ego thing.

For many players to play their best the money has to matter to them

demandango you are just as clueless too if you think that the "top online pros" are better than the live television pros.

It's a totally different game my man. A top live poker player could take his game and adapt rather easily to online play, while an online player would not be able to adapt as well to live play.....this has been proven time and time again.

listen, i have already stated that i am aware that you are trolling, find a better mark. by using the line 'live television pros' and your statement about 'adapting', it is clear you believe the opposite of your posts, and i agree with your sentiment that the opposite of your last post is correct.

which i might add is obviously supported by daniel's play vs this 10/20 player. if daniel matches up so poorly against him, obviously he would not beat the better hu nlhe specialists.

You guys are seriously way more clueless than I thought you were. There is not 1 person on here besides myself who makes a living playing poker and makes ENOUGH MONEY to qualify to do it. Put the crack pipe down and keep thinking "online pros" are better than the live pros.

lmao I could care less what you believe. I'm just laughing at the people on here who think they make enough money playing poker to have it as their only job. At least 120K a year should be made to even CONSIDER having it as your only job.

that is obviously patently false, and a winning poker player would not be dumb enough to make such a statement. therefore, you are obviously either a very poor troll, or a retard. you are not however, a winning poker player.

ok, agree to disagree, but didn't you get busted on another thread as impersonating an actual poker player?

Yes, I was trolling them in that thread badly and they took the bait lmao. However, I'm 100% serious when I say people like wreckker and PR are pathetic for considering themselves professional poker players when they know damn well they don't make NEARLY enough money to have it as their only job. If they are content with living mediocre though, then I guess that's just the way they like to live.

agreed, the results do not mean much. take a look at some of the hands. it would seem clear that daniel is a small dog at best, which is only notable because daniel is a famous tv pro, and his opponent is a nobody.

i assume then you are suggesting that you a)do not consider yourself pathetic because you can b)prove you make more than they do.

if a person can make more money playing poker than they could doing what you might otherwise be doing then it would make sense to do it. the median income in the u.s. is approx 40k, and it is likely they make more than that, which means they are doing better than 'mediocre'.

they are also likely doing much better than you at poker, so i am curious why you spend your time trolling while at the same time considering others to be beneath you, when that is clearly not the case.

to be considered a professional poker player, one would usually simply need to have poker as their main source of income. if that income is higher than the national median, it is a reasonable assertion to call that person a professional.

People adapt to the environment they play in. Online play is that guys home territory and I for one firmly believe in that extremely limited environment with few tells and nothing to lose the internet player could outplay a tentative Negraanu starved for all the information he is used to collecting at a live table.

Also you must consider that this guy most likely knows Negreanu's style already (base style, small ball).

I am amazed at how aggressive some of the 10/20 players are.
