 If you guessed the hapless leaves, you'd be correct.

Seems like the teacher's union can't run a hockey team.  No wonder they suck so bad.

Ford ranked second-worst NFL owner; Ilitch No. 1 in NHL

The Detroit News

Mike Ilitch is the best owner in the NHL, according to Sports Illustrated, while William Clay Ford is ranked the second-worst in the NFL.

SI.com ranked the five best and five worst owners in the four major sports using the following criteria:

* Team's success or failure on the field.

* Willingness to spend money to improve the team.

* Stability and capabilities of the front office and management.

* Amenities at the team's venue.

* Club's culture and interactivity with fans.

 Illitch has slowly been buying up all the land in Foxtown, behind the Fox Theatre.

Rumors are that they will knockdown Joe Louis, expand Cobo Center and build a new arena behind the Fox.

Those are the rumors, anyway.

Detroit needs that arena, but the combination of not selling out the Joe and the possible collapse of the Auto industry certainly wont help. Surprised to see New Jersey Ranked that high! Gotta love the Steelers and the Penguins #1 and 3. Both have a pretty classy ownership group.

Its sad because the Wings are so good, but if you brought back Probie and Kocur even those tickets would be sold. Instead they get Rafalski, Hossa and Datsyuk getting fed at the end of Game 6. The wings play so soft, and I find many of their games boring. Not that they arent talented, just dont enjoy their style.
