If you can't identify a rebuilt car and you're concerned about it, take the car to a knowledgable mechanic who you trust.

Carfax isn't real accurate as many insurance companies do not mark titles as salvage or even enter the claim info on the database Carfax is reporting. I've bought several smashed up trucks from the auction with clear titles and clean carfax reports.

I'm looking at this Camry selling Friday, clear title:

haha, ok. this would be for a couple-year-old car from a dealer, not something that's used to keep the ends of someone's trailer level.

Just out of curiosity, what information is on a carfax report?
