Anyone else?  Otherwise, I'll be spending more money than I want to in the next few days.

It will look ridiculous for anything that's not metal.

Hard to tell from videos if the sound is compromised by the camera or the amp or the guitar or the player...etc.

Yeah, I have played it in person on a few different amps and it sounds good.   The pickups sound a lot better than the regilar EMG 81's, IMO.  Plenty of low end.

I do agree about the inlay though, but oh well.  I don't even listen to the Deftones.

Hell, I'll sell you my AX7221 Ibanez for $300 if you want a good priced, solid 7 string. The pickups are passive but sound very good to me. It's in great shape, I just never play it. Look it up on Zzounds, it's discontinued, but the pic they have looks lust like it,pewter grey paint job and all.

The benefit of buying from a guitar builder that it's probably been gone through and set up for perfect intonation, string height, and truss rod adjustment.

Then you should! It's a good enough guitar that I'd keep it rather than sell it that cheap. 5 piece neck,24.75" scale, it makes a good loaner when I'm working on a guitar for a metal head, keeps them from squawking about time factors. ;)
