Too bad it would never be street legal in the U.S., and you'd never be able to take anything, including passengers, with you.

yah, but it's kinda a good step in the right direction don't you think?   or do you want to continue enjoying to pay 3-4 bucks a gallon and maybe get 20-25 miles on it?

Of course.

I'm just saying, Shiloh will have built his adobe shit house before this ever becomes a viable technology in this country.

Hydrogen as a fuel for cars is coming along nicely. In norway (where i live) You can now drive from the capital (Oslo) to the 3rd largest city-center (Stavanger) with filling stations along the way. It is just under 400 miles. Mazda has agreed to deliver Mazda rx 8 hydrogen cars and others are coming along as well. My father has decided that his next car (this year) will be a hydrogen one.

As long as people hold on to man made global warming you can just FORGET about hydrogen cars. The only emission from hydrogen cars is...water vapor...water vapor is hundreds of times worse than carbon dioxide when it comes to the greenhouse effect. And we all know that carbon dioxide is an evil killer as it is.

Water vapor is responsible for about 70% of the total greenhouse effect. Can you imagine all the cars on the road spewing water vapor instead of some carbon?

We will all be dead in a matter of minutes.

We should be taking H2O out of the atmosphere and storing it in underground lakes PRONTO.

If we built giant dehumidifiers, we could burn a thousand times more CO2 than we do now without any problems, and the plantlife would LOVE us. I've just solved the entire planets energy problems! Hooray for me!

Well at 250 pounds, theoretically the car could weigh 4000 pounds and still get 63 mpg from a non fossil fuel source. But then, we're still in the stage were is burns more energy to produce hydrogen than hydrogen can produce right?

And then there's those pesky water vapors. When are people gonna realize oil is a gift from God/earth/mother nature/Buddha/whatever?
