Tri-Nations.. the only yearly tournament that matters.. starts tomorrow with New Zealand vs Australia. Should be a huge game with the kiwis running a basically new squad gonna be Australias game to lose! But.. Richie McCaw is back!

Discuss..

I'm an AB fan, and in past years viewed most if not all defeats as a case of the ABs losing, but still having the superior squad.

Not this year.  The Boks are clearly superior.  Hore is a pie thrower at the lineout, and they have had far too many handling errors.  Carter would help, but I don't think he would have changed the results of the last two tests.

The Aussies give one away.  A tale of two halves.  Nice to see the return of Carter.

Somebody get Rockocko out of there, I've seen enough of him.

The young #15 for Aus has real potential.

That was an incredible 2nd half comeback by the ABs. The game was pretty mediocre up to that point, then they turned up the heat and it turned into a real contest.

Rokocoko has been phoning in his performances for the last couple of seasons.

Nice bounce back by the Wallabies.  I really like O'Connor's game.

AB's lineout will need to improve for them to have a chance.

All we need to do is win with two bonus points, while denying the Springboks a bonus point.

The All Blacks have a mathmatical possibility of winning the Tri Nations!

South Africa has really peaked this year
Ranked 1st in the IRB standings, Current World Champs
Tri-nations champs (even beating the All Blacks 3-0)
Current 7s Series Champs
Even got some award for team of the year

Having said that, in the Tri-nations, I think their style was less of a "go for the win" style, and more of a "force the other team to lose style". Either way, gotta say they're being really effective.

SA is the best side in the world right now, and it's not even close.

Agreed. There forwards are fucking animals and assholes all rolled up into one. They are ball hungry and do whatever it takes to win. It does help having the best scrum half in the world, having a full back that has a cannon for a foot, and 1 of the best if not the best wingers in the world. The only thing that is over-rated is the The Beast for SA. OVERRATED and gets exposed by veteran props and makes terrible mistakes.

SA are defenately looking good, constant kicking with forward pressure ala England. Next year will be a great year in terms of rugby with Australia giving there young team some experiance and New Zealand rebuilding. Both teams will be looking at mending there mistakes they made this year.
