Quick question: I am 6 days post ACL surgery (7/30). Initially things were going okay, Dr. told me he wanted me off of crutches by my follow-up appointment yesterday (8/4), which I was (painful but crutch free). But as of the evening of 8/3, I've been having very bad pain in my upper calf. The pain is only present when I am standing. It is to the point where I am back to using the crutches. I asked the Dr. about the pain and he said that it is related to the internal bleeding caused by the hamstring graft (I've got bruises on my shin that hurt as well, but the Dr. relates that to the bleeding as well). Has anyone else dealt with this excruciating pain? And does anyone have any tips for dealing with this pain? Thanks!
