Got to meet Andrei Arlovski this weekend while nerding out at the Chicago Comic-Con. He was super nice and very approachable. Only a handful of MMA fans in attendance, about 20-25 people showed for his Q & A, at which he was very apologetic about his last two fights and really entertained and impressed. Can't wait to see him back in the cage.

WAR ARLOVSKI!

Wait, he was entertained and impressed, or you were?

Arlovski seems like a cool dude with two setbacks to deal with....Well, three, including having Freddie Roach essentially being your MMA trainer, but it sounds like he's taken care of that one.

Arlovski should go on the Jeff Monson tour of schooling Heavyweights across the globe until he's bookable in a big fight again.

He entertained us at the q & a. Made some comments about thinking Lesnar was not a good person, but he was a great fighter, mentioned wanting to kick Tim Silvia's ass because it was personal with him. Used to be a Russell Crowe fan but Crowe wouldn't take a photo with him, so now he doesn't like him any more. The broken english made a lot of it funnier than maybe it was intended to be.

LOL at the thought of Arlovski approaching Russell Crowe for a photo and then getting turned down.

I saw him at fightnight in Chicago one-time. Hardly approached by anybody and was wearing A GIGANTIC diamond wristwatch. I'll never forget the nearly Flava Flav size of that watch.

I met him at Chicago Comic Con too. Nice guy, realy laid back. But funny story:

Me and a buddy approached him and tried to get him to hold up a "Fuck the O.G." sign...and he acted like he didn't understand what we were talking about when we said "You know...MMA.tv...the Otherground...". Still, he acted like he didn't understand.

So we said "Hey, no problem, you don't want to do the sign, no worries. But can we take a stupid picture then? Something funny. Can we all make a retarded face or something?"

And oddly enough, he understood that just fine and obliged, with all three of us mugging for the camera and making stupid, goofy faces.

Weird, huh?

That's not a funny story.  I want my 64 seconds back.

He seems like a cool guy and very skilled at boxing. A shame he couldnt prove it against Brett but i think he will have more chances.

I can't remember if it was UFC 51 or 54, but I saw him in the casino the night before the fights and he was super cool and took a picture. His English is MUCH better now. It was hard to communicate but it was cool that he took a minute to chill and take a pic. He definitely looked like he was heading somewhere.

Didn't Arlovski take the Rogers fight on short notice? We all saw what happened to GSP when he treated a fight like it was on short-notice, he got TKOed by Serra.

He needs to get his camp in order and get a few easier fights to build himself back up.

I got to meet Arlvoski at the StrikeForce weigh-ins in St Louis.

He was the coolest dude there, and there were a lot of really cool approachable fighters there.

Arlovski stuck around the longest to hang out with his fans and sign pictures and shit. It was tough watching him get his ass beat the next day, but Brett Rogers was also very cool, so I was happy for him.

He better humble himself. I meet him in Asheville, NC bout a year ago and he was a c*ck sucker. I think he realises hie stock is shit right now so he needs to suck up to the fans.

Arlovski is still relatively young.

He should take a year off to refresh, and then return hopefully with the backing of a big-time MMA camp.

Talent wise he is still one of the best HW's in the world.
