Was the main takedown that he did in most of his MMA fights be considered a low single leg? Forgive my ignorance, dont know much about wrestling

I seem to recall Silva sprawling out on it just fine, suggesting it's not all that unstoppable.

When Sak started it too soon, or too slow, or without any kind of setup...sometimes it didn't work.

And against Silva his problem was that Silva's standup punching/kicking/knees/elbows were too much for him...

Sak's kicking skills were excellent, his wrestling was off-the-charts good...but the only weakness in his game was that his punching/standup striking skills were just okay.

"Okay" is not good enough against a Vanderlai Silva, though...and Sak wound up going for low singles sometimes out of desperation.

Although to Sak's credit - he did really rock Silva with a some punches in one of their fights...

Jeez, if this guy had spent some more time training in striking - who could have beaten him back then?

Igor still. Coleman and Kerr maybe too, due to size advantage.
