I've got some time on my hands, so here is what was posted on the NAGA website (seems like being a lawyer you would be used to doing your own research :))

NO GI:
beginner fly weight 1st place Daniel Whisenant Triad
novice middle weight 1st place Lee Wounters Auburn MMA
intermediate Middle weight 2nd place Emilio Pagan Auburn MMA
3rd place Russell Moore Auburn
advanced middle weight 3rd Keith Johnson Auburn MMA
beginner cruiser weight 1st David King Auburn MMA
intermediate cruiser weight 1st Chase Horton SBJJ
2nd David King Auburn MMA
beginner cruiser weight 2nd Chad Morgan Auburn MMA

GI:
white belt feather weight 2nd place John Evan Triad
Blue belt welter weight 1st Andy Roberts Auburn MMA
blue belt cruiser weight 1st Chase Horton SBJJ
masters blue fly weight 2nd Matt Ward Triad
masters blue middle weight 3rd Phillip Woodfin Triad

*these are just the names or teams I recognized, there were a lot of guys from Revolution listed but I did not know if Samuel's team competed so I didn't list all of those

Congratulations to everyone who competed, looks like Alabama made a good showing.

Matt Ward was listed as Masters blue belt fly weight?

He's a purple belt, he's not old enough to be in masters division, and he's definatley not a fly weight.

That's what it said. I wondered about that myself because I thought I had met Matt and remembered him being younger and bigger than that.

Checked it again and they now have him listed as no gi advanced light heavy weight 3rd place but still as masters gi blue belt fly weight. must not be the same matt ward lol.

Maybe as they update the results they will catch it and make corrections.

They have a lot more competitors listed now than they did earlier this morning.

LOL.  I was actually looking for discussion on it...  AND I DO NOT have that kind of time on my hands!!  I knew Chase Horton got 2 golds.  Looks like we need to get those Auburn MMA guys at the next tournament on Nov. 14-15!

Congrats to everyone who competed.

I hear Chris Taylor (BJJ Revolution - Montgomery) took gold in the Brown Belt division.

Is the Nov date locked?
