White347LX - I recommend riding a stretched bike first, you'll either love it or hate it right there. I'm no fan of stretched bikes, but I did ride a +6 2008 ZX10 that could be launched from a dead stop at 8500 rpm with no fear of flipping over. That was kind of fun but just making a right hand turn from a 4 way intersection was such a pain in the ass I could never go for one no matter how much ownage it would provide at the dragstrip.

I like cars at the dragstrip and bikes on the road course.

BTW, track day at Gateway this weekend. I can't wait!

MCRA? It's the final track day of the year.

Sweet, sweet bike!

I don't think there's any reason to question reliability on a BMW, even a 100% brand new "conventional" bike like this. I rode one in December and it was everything I wanted in power and handling but just a tad too small for me. That thing was the same size as the Daytona 600 I rode there.

Ended up going with the acid green.I think BMW will be easily reconizable with this new colour (like the ninja green to kawasaki) as well it will be more visable.

Bottom line I just like it.

I would way rather have the vette but this shows how fast todays litre bikes really are. This would be the same for most litre bikes just not the bmw.

I have the same Icon Motorhead for my street jacket. It's nice having all the protection without being super flashy. The zipper vents are a lifesaver on hot days but you'll still cook in the sun when you're not moving.

I have Teknic Chicane leathers for the track.

Don't forget gloves, anything is better than nothing when you're sliding across the pavement palms down after that dumb bitch pulls out in front of you and sends you over the top of her car.

Congrats on the CBR! Looks like Honda is giving those things away now with the rebates they have. I hope to have one myself in time for the first track day this spring.

I think the handling goes to the Honda.

Then Power, weight and overall performance goes to the BMW.

Honda has ABS braking but I think it comes with almost 30 more pounds of weight. The BMW race ABS weighs only 4 lbs.

BMW has traction control and quick shift(u don't have to use the clutch to shift).

The BMW comes in at 193 hp(at the crank) and the Honda is around 177hp.I also think the BMW has 5 ft/lbs of torque more then the honda.

Honda has the edge of being around longer and have a very reliable name in the superbike market but I really don't think BMW is going to enter the superbike market and not be prepared.

Like the looks of the BMW better but that is personal opinion.

Other then that whatever bike u buy u will not go wrong.

Cheers
