my brother showed me this guys stats. apparently he 25 tables 6 max, and puts in almost 200k hands a month.
holy shit. the dude also keeps an ultra low profile, he is like a ghost, no one knows who he is, but a few of the 2+2rs have actually met him.

man, it must be brutal playing that much, but i guess he doesnt mind.
my brother was telling me that at his peak, he was putting in 90k hands a month. he gets back from germany mext month and will put in a monster session before he goes to japan for the snow season in feb, fuck that guy

yeh, i only ever managed 6 tables on full ring, but comfortably played 5 tables at 6 max.
my brother easily plays 15 tables on 6 max. he has run into nanonoko a few times, he says he is super solid, and rarely makes mistakes. must be a bot

If youre playing 25 tables, what else do you have time for?

His VPIP must be around 10.

I've played with him a bunch, seemed good from what little I remember.

I put in 30k hands a month. 200k is almost a year for me. But I play higher stakes, there's just not enough good action for me to 12+ table.

^^ pete, this brings up an interesting question, seeing as u play higher stakes, what goes into ur thought process for stepping up stakes, or stepping down stakes, besides the obvious bankroll management issue?
a lot of people step up to take a "shot", whereas, a few people will always play ultra conservative with their roll, my brother is one of them, he is super conservative about his roll, and thats why he hasnt stepped up, even tho a lot of his other pro mates tell him he should

i understand that 10/20 tables and higher have very limited action, so do u supplement it by playing a few 5/10 and even 2/4 tables as well?
whereas nanonoko would invariably be playing 25 2/4 tables as there is tons of them available, it makes it hard for the nosebleed stakes guys to get more than 1 or 2 going

The interconnectedness between your hourly ($) rate, the size of your bankroll, and the variance in your play style all effect what stakes/tables you should be playing.

I dunno about your brother, but for me, I am an "older" player than most typical pros (starting at 27 yo) and I simply had bills to pay, unlike most college age players. So that meant I had to be more conservative with my bankroll.

My main game is 5/10, but I change stakes very frequently. It's not unusual for me to be playing 2/4, 3/6, 5/10, and 10/20 all at once.

I even played a few thousand hands at 1/2 this year when I was running and playing bad.

my brother is 26 now, he has no bills to pay at all, he just travels and plays.
he has said that the games r getting tougher, so he is going to come home for an extended period and grind seriously, making as much as he can so he can set himself up better financially for the future
