because there's no body in this lousy state that any body would pay to watch fight. it's a consumer protection issue.

I can see you've been a member of the underground for less than a month and you've already proven yourself to be a moron. Have you ever heard of:
Matt Hamill in the UFC
Jon "Bones" Jones in the UFC
Phil Baroni in the UFC
Rashad Evans in the UFC (former Lightweight Champion)
Tamdan McCrory in the UFC
Matt Serra in the UFC (former welterweight Champion)

matt hammill - doesn't count as a whole person on account of being deaf

jon jones - an obvious cheater

phil balogna - i'll give you that one when the ufc changes its format to 2 x 30 second rounds

rashad evans - got utterly destroyed the 1st time he faced a real fighter (a guy not from ny)

tamdan mccrory - yeah, lots of people buying ppv to watch this guy get dusted by hazlett & john howard, lol

matt serra - i'll give you serra out of pity

Gov. Patterson is looking to get the bill passed to have MMA legalized in NYS, standing on the issue that it will bring in revenue. It is a breath of fresh air to hear a politician - especially IN NY - say something that makes sense. Let's see if he can get it pushed through before his term is up. Who knows what the next guy will say if Patterson is not re-elected.

Now we got a new Governor. So why don't they legalize MMA in NY? They cry that the state has a big deficit & they are going broke. MMA would be a money maker. It doesn't make any sense.

Thanks,
Tom

It was already passed months ago, despite Bob Reilly.

The bill it was attached to was pulled at the 11th hour during a all night session to pass State budget on time.

It will likely get pushed through again in January.
