I was given a lamb shoulder roast (bone in).

Ashamed to admit that I have not cooked much lamb in the past, so have no idea what to do with it. Crock pot? Smoker?

Any suggestions?

I smoked one over cherry once, it turned out good. Rubbed it with thyme and rosemary, and stuck a bunch of garlic cloves in it.

anything low and slow should work, smoking would be my preference, but then again, it always is - maybe get crazy, and make some lamb pibil
