I have knee problems so sprawling hard leading with my hips is difficult for me.

I had a friend who used to sprawl during drills by sort of kicking his feet back up behind him and then his legs would softly "float" back down to the ground. It almost looked like a breakdancing move.

Anyone familar with this technique? I'd like to learn it.

 it's nothing special it's jus tthe same old knock out sprawls done slower  lol it does kinda look like you're doing "the worm" because you hips in and then come back to the feet.

When sprawling you actually shouldn't hit your knee..it should be feet to hip/s..
