Sounds right. I don't remember the kick, but the standing arm strike was the overhand right that dropped him and the ground strike was the final shot before the ref pulled him off.

the kick was in the opening min of the fight and pretty much was a lazy spinning back kick that barely grazed Melvin's body

all it takes is one. that right counter was wicked

That's called experience in the fury of the storm. He knew his opponent and knew an opening would present itself and to be a meathead and just Toughman his way to a victory was a gamble. Seriously a SMART win for Robbie.

I agree. He stuck to his gameplan and was very defensive and patient waiting for an opening. Melvin got excited because he was destroying his legs and landing good body shots but Robbie was covering up very well and as soon as he saw the opportunity he went for it. Good timing and way to stick to the game plan Robbie!

War Manhoef!!! Robbie did have a hail-marry win. But it was great. I think that Melvin is gonna have some crazy fights in Strikeforce if they continue to let him fight. Question is...will Melvin ever try the whole ground thing. Just curious.

Manhoef went to the floor from the right, and Lawler knocked him unconscious with the left after Melvin was down. The ref was pushing him off on the third.

Lawler hit him with two punches before the ref pushed him off. I don't know how they calculate these things but man if there is discrepancy in counting even just two or three punches, how in the hell can they be trusted to be accurate when you're talking 40-50 strikes per round, esp in a five round fight??

EDITED TO ADD:  Someone pointed out that they didn't count the last strike Lawler hit him with, but what about the left? Did that not count, either? [no sarcasm, genuinely curious how they count strikes]
