"Cowboys have addressed QB, FB, OL, S, and CB needs in free agency."

The only one that I would sign in as a starter is Nate Livings. There is still the OG and C spot that needs to be addressed. Perhaps a camp battle will ensue and sum1 can start...but I'm feeling the Boys are intrigues with DeCastro or Cox. Barron is the supposed HOT GUY on the NFL rumor mill.

The point is, they addressed those positions.
Don't see them addressing OL in the first round after signing two OL players.

I'd be very happy with either David DeCastro, Fletcher Cox, or Mark Barron. Maybe throw in Quinton Coples too but only as a last resort.

Anybody else and I hope we trade down instead.

I'm hearing Michael Brockers may be the choice.....do not want. We already have guys that can stuff the run but that can't rush the passer. (i.e. Marcus Spears.)

I'm falling in love with Barron. I hope he's still there at 14. If not him maybe we can get the guard from Stanford Phone Post

Morris Claiborne is the pick!

"Claiborne, an All-American at LSU, led the Tigers with six interceptions last season and won the Jim Thorpe Award as the nation's top defensive back.
He was also LSU's top kickoff returner, averaging 25 yards per return with a 99-yard touchdown at West Virginia."

The returner part is a nice bonus.

- - - - -

Brandon Carr and Morris Claiborne will provide lockdown corner protection for many years to come!
For $50 mil (Carr) and for a trade of our 1st and 2nd round pick to move up (Claiborne), THEY BETTER!!!!!!!!!!

Next picks (3rd and following) need to be on Offense.
TE/WR/OL needs talent/depth.

I doubt he will be gone this year.
He is injured a lot though.

I like our top pick a lot.  The defense just got a lot better and of course with our high octane offense, this allows Dallas to really put teams away, an area that they have struggled mightily in recent years.  AmI being too optimistic here or is this team begining to really come together?

There is a lot to like about the pick.
It's also nice that Claiborne is a returner.
The defense is workable as it is right now.
Would love to see another pass rusher though.

You mention that Dallas has a high octane offense but there are talent/depth problems on the offense at TE, WR and OL.
This especially true with he loss of Laurent Robinson combined with the fact that Bryant and Austin are injury prone.

Morris Claiborne was a great pick!

The rest of the draft is as always a crap shoot.

I'm glad we got a blue chip player. I'm very excited about getting Claiborne. The team is really starting to come together. It still has a ways to go through. There is going to be a lot of changes and hopefully the weak minded mentality starts to go away with all the new players on the team.

We have a tough schedule this year. We should know right out of the gate what we have when we play the Giants in week 1.

The team said that Claiborne had the highest grade the scouts had given to a cornerback since Deion Sanders. If he turns out to be that type of a shutdown corner then how can we not love the pick?

The other guys we took seem to be projects that will need to develop. Only time will tell if we got good value or if we reached.

Hope that WR from Va Tech pans out since we need a slot guy to step up. Love the Claiborne pick guy has serious swag, he even wants reps at WR.

Problems still exist at:
- Center: Costa has to be better...if not, who will step up?
- RT and LT: Starters are set, but there are serious depth issues at this position in case of injury
- WR: Need a 3rd WR to replace L. Robinson...Bryant and Austin are injury prone
- Defensive Line: Need others to step up and help Ratliff
- Pass Rush: Need others to step up and help Ware

Colin Cowherd unveils his list of the most delusional fan bases in sports. Do Dallas Cowboys fans deserve the No. 4 spot? Who would you put at the top of the list?

Colin’s list:
1. Tim Tebow
2. Notre Dame football
3. Penn State football
4. Dallas Cowboys
5. Dale Earnhardt Jr.
6. Oakland Raiders
7. Big Ten football
8. College basketball
9. New York Knicks
10. Chicago Bulls

----------
I tend to agree with our number 4 position.

Too much hype for a team that has won one playoff game in 13 years and for a gm/owner that fired his head coach after winning back to back championships.

Unfortunately, I am part of the problem since I loyally remain a fan.

I'm surprised we weren't #1. It's been one playoff win in 16 years, not 13. :(

I stand corrected!
(Happily so since it only further proves my point)

Hopeful that Robert Leary becomes a starter at guard. Additionally, I'm interested in seeing producting from Tyrone Crawford.

Re. The Mike Jenkins holdout/demand to be traded

The best article I have read that most fairly and accurately sums up the Mike Jenkins situation (and I have read quite a few) is the one written by Jean-Jacques Taylor of ESPNDallas.com.

The following statement sums it up:
“Jenkins is playing for his next contract this year.
To do that he has to be on the football field making plays.
The longer he sits out the less likely he will be able to make an impact.”
- brannoncox521 (in the comments section)
