Just seems like there was a reasonable expectation of privacy while I was in the home.  Not sure if they used a video camera or a small tape recorder.

Reasonable expectation of privacy in someone else's home?

 I'm reaching brother.  They are now saying I smelled like marijuana in an obvious attempt to get me fired.  Is this slander?

Technically yes.

Worth your/an attorneys time? Probably not.

You might talk with your boss about sending them a cease and desist type letter, especially if it keeps up. But you're probably just better off with a hands off posture, especilly since your boss isn't buying it.

 its been a while since law school, but i believe the rule is 1) if its a private citizen they can do what they want within legal limts (ie the laws of your state) and 2) for the government, protection of privacy does not include anything that is within plain view from a public place (e.g. the sidewalk or across the street)
