He may be the greatest high school wrestler ever. Cary Kolat was an undefeated four-time Pennsylvania state champion Cary Kolatwho placed third twice at the prestigious Midlands tournament while in high school. Kolat went on to become a four-time All-American and two-time NCAA champion in college — and a two-time World medalist and 2000 Olympian internationally.

Name Cary Kolat
Record 0 - 1 - 0 (Win - Loss - Draw)

I'm not knocking wrestlers, just saying that being a wrestling phenom doesn't always mean you wil equal that succuss in MMA. Jake Rosholt, another 3 time NCAA champ did average in the UFC losing his last match to Kendall Grove by submission.

One of my all time favorite wrestlers. Where a lot of the great wrestlers from the US have been known for their punishing, grinding styles, Abas was known as a technician who was extremely slick. Really excited to see his transition to MMA

Rosholt was a great college wrestler but he wasn't quite at Abas's level. Rosholt usually peaked in March and had a great tournament. Abas steamrolled everyone. I see a lot of success for him at 135 in MMA.
