It has been the other way around for me. Chi Gong helped alot because it teaches you to breath from your lower Tan Tien like singing. Pavarotti wasn`t exactly the pillar of cardio health but geez the volume that guy could get.

^^^Thanks! Surprises me in a way--I've been a habitual belly-breather for at least 14 or 15 years since my first exposure to martial arts at age 17, but still can't sing for crap. ;-)
