Anyone have suggestions on a good website, or even a book to give me a grasp on music theory, specifically for guitar?

I've been taking lessons since October, but when I ask my teacher theory questions he usually waves them away, or answers them in a way he thinks I would understand, but I don't.. because I have almost no theory.

God, I wish I knew where to begin. I talked to my instructor. We're going to go back and go over some basic theory and ear training.

I guess I just don't know much about music. I can play a bunch of guitar, and I know patterns for scales, but not much else.
