Coleman actually turned down a fight with Ken right around Pride 10 I believe it was. Cole's guy pulled out and Ken was ready but Coleman's camp wanted more time for an opponent of Ken's caliber.

Ken actually used to train Coleman.  He prepped him for that robbery against Pedro Rizzo.  Mark figured after the Williams KO that if you can't beat em, join em.  It was the only time in his career that he actually showed an open mind.  After getting raped by the judges, he went back to doing what he did best and next thing you knew, he'd won the Pride GP.

 "It was Pride 12, btw."

Oh, thanks for the correction then.

Oh no. No no no no no!

Cole actually continued showing an open mind to the point where he specifically went and trained with Miletich and had Pat there coaching him when he won the GP. It was the best Coleman yet seen in terms of maturity and strategic composure.

Then he decided that he had done enough and broke ties with Pat after getting the #1 ranking back. He won like 1-2 fights afterwards including a bizzarely unecessary fight with Alan Goes where Goes lost years off of his life. The he clashed with Nog and went downhill. He's never been the same since the Nog loss, imo.

I always get excited when legends, no matter how far past their primes, fight each other. I'd be excited for this.

Shamrock vs. Coleman? I go with Shamrock to the living death, but the battle among the fans would be just as compelling. UG civil war IMO.
