As far as competitive success, Lloyd Irvin has it's main school in Camp Springs, and an affiliate (88 BJJ) in Elkridge. Yamasaki has a school in Rockville. Balance has an affiliate in Rosedale, MD (Baltimore BJJ) Ground Control is nowhere near the best in terms of jiu jitsu. They produce MORE MMA fighters, but not really at the same quality as other local gyms.

I also attended a class @ the Baltimore Fight Club in Owings Mills/Reisterstown. It was a good, small, school. Nice and intimate, good knowledge, and the BJJ instructor I worked with (Marat Buberman) was a great beginner/intermediate teacher. I had a great class, would've loved to sign on, but need to get my money right first.
