the legal action thing was attempted by my buddy, the cops dont much give a shit about an escort service website, they have bigger problems to deal with...

I am a big fan of direct violence myself, but the owner appears to be located elsewhere, and I am not pissed enough about being told to fuck off to fly off to some other place to kick the shit out of some pimp.

getting the website shut down would be just fine.

It apears to be hosted with godaddy, and does not appear to violate any terms of service (no nudity and no direct offer of prostitution)

man, you really are an idiot. post on here asking for help to commit a crime, and you aren't bright enough to figure out the problem?

lol without a court order godaddy won't even respond, or care.

a C&D is the only thing that will work. not sent to the website owner, but sent to the company physically hosting the server that's responsible for it which can be determined (along with the address for abuse) by doing a lookup on the IP address of the website.

so you're saying that with no proof of ownership or identity they contacting their paying customer and told them to take down the info?

I see your point, but having experienced these types of issues with clients both as the hosting company, and the customer for the last 15 years, i find it hard to believe they'd violate their customer's rights without proof.

However, it's free to do it, so it sure can't hurt. I've had data removed about clients from websites, including google's search results. a simple cease and decist from a search online, sent by registered mail, will handle it without question. Quickly

bah.. lol yeah I missed that.

I suppose I could see it.

I think you likely got a little more support since you've a dedicated server customer. but of course that's just a guess.

.

My buddy sent go daddy a few well written letters explaining the situation and asking for help. They sent a form letter response stating that they dont condone illegal activity but its not up them to police the sites they host and to contact local Law enforcement if he suspects something illegal.

Basically they were no help and told him to piss off.

as I was saying. a single cease and desist and they'd remove it.

this is typical, and exactly what I said would happen. it takes 5 minutes to search and fill out the form, then just send it registered. it'll be done by the end of the week. you send it to godaddy, addressing them as the person responsible for the IPblock, and the content on it. I guarantee you they won't ignore that. and speaking from experience on both sides, they'll immediately take action, forwarding the info to the site owner.

Deleted your first post for your own benefit and mma.tv.

You are basically OJ Simpson. The hotel room thing, not the killing his wife thing. :D
