I've been reading up on Schopehhauer's and Heidegger's philosophies of art.

Finding them very interesting.

Who is versed on this subject? What philosophies of art have had the greatest influence on you?

Look at cognitive psychology and evolution theories of art. WAY better...

as in they actually explain why we like art.

I've read a little bit of Schopenhauer's theory on art. What do you think of him elevating music above all other arts?
