The UFC confirmed that 4 fighters have been released after losing their debut efforts on the The Ultimate Fighter 11 Finale. Josh Bryant, James Hammortree, Seth Baczynski, and Jamie Yager were all given their walking papers.

that's surprising. I was expecting him to headline a UFN pretty soon.

Don't you guys realize by now, just because they marketed Yager as the next FroCop, next big thing, they do it just in case he wins and does great.

What happens when he losses by domination? He gets released and everyone knows he's not UFC worthy.

Let other promotions grab him, he needs to be there.

I actually thought this season of TUF had more talent than the last few, and WAY more than the previous season. Seems like they would've kept Yager around just b/c it's fun seeing him get his ass beat.

I think Bryant should have gotten another chance.

Have him fight McCray for a third time on an undercard of a UFC event, what's the worst that could happen?

RedCoat - Releasing Yager was extremely stupid. The guy is like Melvin Guillard. Tons of potential just he training with a shitty team.

Melvin has mad heart and cardio. How are they even comparable????

I thought Yager might be somewhat marketable at the beginning of the season he threw some cool kicks and punches, but after seeing his last two fights, I can see why he was let go. Not sure what background he has.

Josh Bryant should've stayed in UFC and go to lower weight.

Not stupid at all. If he starts to turn some potential in to actual, he'll be back. The UFC doesn't have to stash a ton of raw prospects on its roster anymore and realizes it is better to let them get seasoning in the minors elsewhere.

With the caliber of fighters in the UFC, it's a tough place to "develop your skills."

YOu don't hire someone when youre the premier league who has a ton of potential but needs a ridiculous amount of work. If he has that much potential he will make it back.

lol @ comparing Guillard to Yager. Melvin can take a punch without giving up.
