Thanks, guys!

I just checked and there were 296 players. Not that big of a field, which is why I entered. :)

The final hand was a killer. I was 3rd in chips and in the SB with KK. UTG shoves and I call. He shows AQ. Flop was A-Q-7 rainbow. J on the turn. Now a K or T wins it for me. But the river was a 6. :(

hold on, you just won 6.8K, so you are keeping just a 5K roll?

mpthief,

My wife hasnt worked in a couple of years because of the recession, so I took most of that to pay off a couple of credit cards. I still have my $5000 bankroll pretty much in tact, though.

My biggest issue is trying to figure out a strategy for making money. In other words, I think my tournament play is decent and I can usually at least make the money if I'm given the time (sometimes I feel pressured by obligations away from the table and I go on tilt trying to rush to the top of the ladder or to bust out).

I guess what I need is a resource that shows how I should be selecting games given the size of my bankroll and the only 3 hours a day I have available for playing.

I am pretty certain that if I wanted to average $100 a day profit every day I could do so pretty easily, and perhaps that is the best way to approach it, but I find myself taking playing above my bankroll a bit too often.

Nothing better than paying off real life bills with online virtual money that doesn't seem real.

joe, I had the chip lead but there were only two of us left and there was a decent drop off between 1st and 2nd. Ill almost always chop if we chop fairly. I felt I was getting a good deal and didnt feel the need to risk a couple of grand to win a grand at that point.
