Does the US DOJ or DOD or do the branches themselves offer a way for anyone to verify time served in the US military?

Asking my boss anything is like pulling teeth. I am putting together an app for our company to earn an ethics award and even asking him about pro bono work is arduous at best. He is was a 2531 in the USMC.

On a side note, read Generation Kill and I just started on "One Bullet Away" by Nathaniel Fischer. Both are excellent reads.

Only way is to get a hold of their form dd-214, you get it when you get out, has your entire service history on it. But he would have to give it to you himself or you'd need his SSN. Phone Post
