That is because nowhere else has a well established franchise, superleague is growing over in England I hear that in certain parts league has become very popular over there. Both are great, but as an Aussie (I spose you can call me biased) I enjoy league much more.

Why yes, such regional diversity!

The north of England, plus a team of ring-ins in London and Catalan.

I like both, but Union basically craps all over League outside Australia.

I see there's a team based in Wales.

Looking through the roster, SIXTEEN of the players are Australian or New Zealand ring-ins.

How's the money compare between NRL and Union in Australia?  I notice a lot of crossovers from union to league and vice versa (Mat Rogers, Sailor, Tuquiri, Brad Thorne, Sonny Bill, et al).

Are these moves usually driven by cash, or just chances for more playing time?

LOL@'vice versa'...it's been almost entirely one-way traffic since Rugby went professional. Prior to that, Union ranks were regularly pillaged by the NRL (known then as the Winfield Cup).

Money is a factor, but so is travelling the world representing your country in a sport that people actually care about.
