well why does it always (besides rare exceptions that prove the rule) happen that it is the man that has multiple wives? And are these wives almost always given less rights than the man? In most of the communities where polygamy is accepted the man can divorce the woman but not vice versa. In most of these situations the woman is to bear children and take care of the house and needs of the man. Though some may consent to this behavior, and even desire it, does not mean it isn't objectifying. That doesn't mean the government should outlaw it, in my opinion, but that it is morally wrong.
And I totally agree that the government should mind their own business, when they stop killing tens of thousands of civilians in their bullshit war, we will trust their moral voice.
