what - Chechnya, Russia

It is said that the Russian Mafia runs the city with more gangsters than police, while a Russian is assassinated every 18 minutes averaging 84 murders per day in a nation of 143 million. The city has also been accused of extremism, racism, prostitution, drug trafficking and kidnappings, not to mention the untold violence dished out by the Chechen rebels.

Chechnya is a country dumbass

That neighborhood in DC isnt that bad either. Not nice, but not as bad as the rest of SE on the other side of the river.

^LOL. I had a 40 bottle BARELY miss my skull in that neighborhood.

Edit: That said, there ARE worse areas. I've had worse situations come down in "better" parts of town too.

Yeah thats all I was sayin. There's far worse parts of DC. The median house price in the DC neighborhood listed there is 437,000 dollars. And from what I remember of that area, a lot of it was non-residential.

Rouge Mod - Any of you "I bet they're black! I bet they're black!" posters want to explain the significance of your assumption?

In other words, so what? What are you trying to say?
Would you be willing to acknowledge that this statement is accurate first off?
That every one of the neighborhoods on the list is black? I have no idea if that's true. I don't even know if the list accurately represents the 25 most dangerous neighborhoods. I know that a disproportionate number of criminals are black, but I don't think it's a causative relationship.

Now then, are you going to answer?

The "causative relationship" part that Fraser always talks about seems to fly over a lot of heads.

andrewilbe - Atlanta wins again!!!!

wait....what?

Oh yeah, THAT'S why I moved the fuck out of the city.

I was actually gonna call bullshit if the Bluffs wasn't on this list. It was number 5. The whole neighborhood is a trap.

Not surprised to see KC on there. KC has a pretty high murder rate and the crime is mostly concentrated in some fairly small areas. I'm thinking in places like Detriot, Houston, New Orleans etc. the crime is more spread out through different parts of the city.

wrongaboutVitali - Used to teach periodically (sub) in North Philly. Yes, it's bad, BUT here's what may be considered an uplifting story:

Was on my way back to my car after school ended. About four guys started 'talking to me' as I arrived at my car (I had to park on the street, two blocks away. I know, total BS, but the teachers there were jerks and would complain if subs used the teacher's lot).

Here I am, white boy in khakis, button down, and a tie. One of the guys asked what I was doing here and I told him I was a teacher and just left **** elementary. They all nodded with respectful looks and just walked away.

Only downside was that I had to clean my khakis when I got home.
N13th between spring garden and poplar which is the neighborhood they located on the map is NOT that bad. Its not nice but a few blocks away its all fuckin hipsters and yuppies. Now go down to the Olney section of north philly if u wanna see really bad.

Fighting - You didn't answer at all. How can you start your troll going against an irrefutable fact. It just won't work.
"I don't know" is an answer, tucker.

LOL @ "irrefutable fact"- exactly which "fact" are you referring to?

I saw a similar list recently and I remember the #1 worst neighborhood was some downtown shit hole in Cincinnati...maybe around Republic st. (where all the heroin pushers were located).

There are some other really nasty neighborhoods in Cinci, and I've driven through some hoods down here in Florida that really made me wish I had a concealed weapon permit.

exactly, I laughed looking at that list, CA is the gang capital of the world, the 6-9 Mob Ville in East Oakland is one of the most dangerous hoods in the country, and no LA cities lol?

okiebug - I've been to both in chicago and they will scare the crap out of you, regardless of what race you are.

You've been to dick. Maybe you rode the El that far and got scared.

I don't get #1 at all. Way worse neighborhoods west of that area. The marathon goes near that area next week. I don't want to say the area is fantastic, but the worst in the US? Street view it...

California demands a recount!

Damn, you would think the worst parts of Oakland, LA, Fresno, etc, would have fared better in this competition. Disappointing for our reps out here...
