Spike TV on Monday confirmed two co-feature bouts for the Dec. 4 finale of “The Ultimate Fighter: Team GSP vs. Team Koscheck” at The Pearl at The Palms Casino and Resort in Las Vegas.

“The Ultimate Fighter Season 1” alum Stephan Bonnar takes on Croatian Igor Pokrajac in a light heavyweight bout, while Season 3’s Kendall Grove faces Demian Maia in a middleweight showdown.

Both Bonnar and Pokrajac are rebounded from consecutive losses, the former over  Krzysztof Soszynski, and the latter over James Irvin at the UFC on Versus 2.

Kendall Grove was punished by Mark Munoz at UFC 112: "Invincible" earlier this year, but was able to rebound with a much-needed win over Goran Reljic, a split decision at UFC 116: "Lesnar vs. Carwin" back on July 3. He'll need to be at 100-percent to overcome the crafty Maia, despite having a tremendous size and reach advantage.

terrible fights. I'll fast forward thru it to watch the TUF final but no way I'm stickin' around for Big Daddy Buttscoot and Stephen "gatekeeper-to-the-gatekeeper" Bonnar. So many fights they could have arranged, and this is what they come up with? GFY BLAF

yawn. Too bad K-1 doesn't have more events a year. Though, I suppose if you have too many it can be watered down a bit such as some UFC cards have been lately. This is a good example.

Wonder if Spike is getting pissed at all the shitty cards UFC is giving them. November 13th is unwatchable other than the main event. This TUF finale is looking horrendous. Seems like Spike accepts whatever garbage UFC puts on their front porch

Employer - terrible fights. I'll fast forward thru it to watch the TUF final but no way I'm stickin' around for Big Daddy Buttscoot and Stephen "gatekeeper-to-the-gatekeeper" Bonnar. So many fights they could have arranged, and this is what they come up with? GFY BLAF

I don't understand some fans. I can understand people not enjoying fighters who stall and take the easy win, but Bonnar always comes to fight. He's entertaining, win or lose. Why hate on him and why NOT be excited for an opportunity to watch him fight? This is an entertainment industry, too. Why would you watch it if not to be entertained? It's not just a sport. This is why I love MMA and have such a disdain for some other sports (like baseball and golf) that punish its viewers until SOMETHING happens that's exciting... and even these moments are dull in comparison.

I love watching guys like Bonnar fight. He's part of, in my opinion, a dying breed... a breed of entertaining fighters that can actually compete with some of the best in the world without sacrificing who they are as fighters and people in the process. He's ignorantly aggressive, and he is as such because he wants people to cheer. He wants you to be at the edge of your seat. He would never be a man to make the excuse, "a shitty win is better than a shitty loss" because he'll likely never be in that position. The dude is all heart, and I'm a big fan because of that. This sport needs men like this, and I'll always support him.

Side note: I'm not deliberately trying to take a shot at Mr. Mir, but it's a point that popped into my head. I'm sure Mir is equally as disappointed in his overall performance as we are, and he's delivered many exciting fights in the past to compensate for this one.

RyanWilcox - Why would Maia take that fight? Grove is crap and does nothing for Maia's future.

Grove is a tough fight for Maia. Stylistically, this could be an upset in the making.

Overall, though, this could be a very exciting fight. Their game plans seem obvious on paper, and it'll be interesting to see how they deviate from these (if at all).

Boners last fight was pretty freaking exciting, this will be the 1st time I ever look forward to him fight. Grove wil most likely win, so not excited to see this beating.
