Interesting tidbit from Sakara interview:
DH: It was confirmed through Jorge that he would be fighting Michael Bisping in Australia. It is now rumored that Bisping will not take the fight. What are your thought on this?

Legionarius: I am not sure why Bisping has declined to fight Rivera. I know only that it was my fault that Rivera was not able to fight, he prepared and was ready to compete and deserves an opponent right away whether it be Bisping or someone else.

Bisping knows he has a very slim chance of winning this fight.

LOL ... as far as rankings go, it's a super risky fight for ol' pillow hands.

He wins, it does nothing for him, he loses, it could be detrimental to his career and status.

He's smart not to take and hold out for a higher profile fight.  He's not necessarily better, or more deserving of a tougher fight, but he is popular enough to hold out for a higher profile fight.

exactly. let him lose to another top 5 guy like he normally does so nothing changes. he fucks up and loses to rivera and it's back to the undercard where he belongs, and his skill is.

  This.

I would love to see Pillow Fists against Palhares or Maia.

Dana will never allow his Brit boy to be on the undercard, regardless of future performances.

X_Rated - Didn't some other Bisping nuthugger make a post about how Rivera is such a good fight for him, and how it will get him a title shot????

Indeed they did:

Good thread EB. If this fight does go down I'm going to take great pleasure in watching Rivera, as you put it, get his face put on backwards.

This is something of a step down for Bisping, but it will give him the chance to get a nice, clean bingo. One for the highlight reel.

Funny how their tune has changed so quickly. :-)

If Bisping was offered the fight by Joe Silva obviously Dana was okay with it.

I'd be surprised as Bisping doesn't turn down anybody, plus I have seen reports saying both sides had agreed. However if he did turn it down I would understand why, especially as it was said Bisping would be getting a top guy next. However if the Rivera fight still has title implications should he win, I would be glad to see it as I expect it to be an exciting fight and quite frankly I'd quite like to see Rivera catch a beating, and I say that with respect. Apparently Rivera has suggested his last last three opponents and been given them, perhaps he is trying it again. Bit dangerous when you let fighters book their own fights if you ask me.

If he doesn't take it then by the UKTroll team definitions he is labeled a Dick Tucker since that is the label you have given to the fighters who refused Bisping as they wanted a higher ranked opponent or had legitimate reasons, injuries, upcoming births ect...
You cant have it both ways guys, either they are all dick tuckers or none.  Which is it?

Bisping the coward knows that Rivera is almost top ten. I mean, he needs at least 20 fights in the UFC before he challenges a top ten opponent.

How is that changing my tune? I said "if the fight goes down", not that I wanted it to go down.

Make no mistake, if this does go down, Rivera is getting bingo'd beyond belief. Pack it up, say goodbye to the career, have a nice life type of bingo'd.

Uh, in one your are saying "Bisping would take the subpar fight and whoop him for the highlight reel" and today you are saying "Bisping should refuse this fight."

Well he's been doing it for his whole career, so why do anything different now?

Because he has a chance of winning?

And perhaps showing this phantom "power" he keeps talking about
