Suggestions? Looking in the the $200 range. High powered nothing under 1200fps.

I am looking at the Gamo Whisper deluxe, on sale at Cabelas for 200, normally 300 I think. My buddy has a Gamo and he loves it

Anybody have any pros or cons they want to share, or other models/brands they think are good?

My purposes are plinking and some varmint shooting.

Thanks. I hope this gets posted in the right forum. If it doesn't may I give myself a WFA! in advance and some help from a mod please?

What ever you get, I would suggest .22 esp as you want to do some pesting.

I just picked up a new springer, an 'Industry Brand QB-57' in .22.

Here is a video of it from Archer Air.

Disassembly was easy, I slapped in a new slightly stronger spring, added a polished washer as a tophat, polished up everything else with my stone, degreased, and rebuilt using 77% moly lube.

I am really impressed with this little guy for the money, I usually shy away from chinese made goods, but this is quite decent for the money.

I have seen them going for as low as $64 online.
