Apparently Xtreme Couture's head 'jiu jitsu' coach (really a catch and judo guy under Gokor, Lebell, Parisyan), Neil Melanson, is releasing a book on the triangle choke for MMA. Below is a video series detailing one of his setups, the Irish collar.

Looks pretty damn interesting.

In the related videos section for the third video, there is also a segement on some additional positions/techniques including what Melanson calls the "corner guard" and the "St. Patrick" if I heard the low audio correctly.

The corner guard is the one leg over the shoulder but not over the arm position that many people use in their flower sweep/armbar sequences and the St. Patrick is an inverted triangle reminiscent of the one Braulio used in ADCC. I think he names at least one other guard position that I couldn't hear correctly.

The video showing these techniques/positions starts out as a tour of Xtreme Couture by Ryan Couture, then has Melanson going over some basic triangle finishing points, then goes into the moves/positions described above.

I think that's a given. There might be some interesting setups in this one, though.

I'll be curious to see if his forearm pinching type setup gets any traction due to his book and this video.

I hear a lot of people saying the golden arm type setup requires you to have really long arms.
