 It's kinda funny in a pathetic way.  My arms are burnt out before the warm-up is done, so by the time the workout rolls around, I'm doing pushups on my knees...except my knees are up under my belly instead of behind me.

<i><b>THAT indeed </b></i>would make a funny vid.


When I came back from a shoulder injury so weak I couldn't do a single pushup, I found that negative pushups were more useful than knee-pushups.

 I needed to measure my height to get an accurate BMI and body fat %.  Maybe my gf's an idiot, but she measured me with a tape measure at 6'1 1/2.  So that's what I used for the calculations.  I still don't believe it.  I'm every bit of 6' 2 1/2.

I dug out my almost unused 6 lb tub of 100% Whey Protein that was sitting in the closet for a few years.  Should I mix it up before and after workout, or just after?

 might wanna check the expiry date

Today is DAY 4 and I feel great!  The workouts are hard as fuck for a fatty, but I finally almost finished one doing all the exercizes.

Good for you doing this and getting going in a program.

Courage to post on here and monitor your results. The announcing to the world thing throws down the gauntlet and you have to follow through.

Been considering doing the 90X program a friend is getting good results from currently.


Anybody remember the post on the UG years ago of the guy that did a 365 day morph gif of his body as the guy developed from working out hard all year.??

 Good Luck man!  People can argue all they want about what is the most effective workout, etc, but the reality is pretty much any program will work if you stick to it.

 I can tell you I feel better, it's hard enough that I will struggle with it for many many months to master,  and it's fun and motivating.

JudOWNED - So, what's your workout schedule like on this program? (If you already posted it, just gimme a heads up and I'll search through the thread for it.)

 There is a calander they give you. The Beginner one, the one I'm doing, schedules you for a 45 minute workout 5 times the first week, with three days of 30 minute cardio (for me a 30 minute brisk walk around the neighborhood) that are usually in addition to the workout, and a rest day.

The workout consists of a pretty strenuous 10 minute warm-up routine, including squats, sit ups, and push ups.  The 30 minute workout part varies, as there are 8 different workouts, and I do the one the calander tells me to.  All bodyweight and 10 lb dumbbells.  It ends with 5-7 minutes of stretching out.

It progressively gets harder until the very end of the last week of the Advanced program, where you are doing 2 workouts a day---the hardest ones.

buckshot44 - bumped for the day 5 recap..

 Day 5 was fun.  It was packed with Trane UFC things like sprawling, jabs and uppercuts, changing levels, shooting, knees and elbows, and kicks.  Then on the ground we did stuff like passing guard, locking in the kimura, and standing back up.

It takes some imagination for some of the exercizes not to feel silly, but the aim here is to work the muscles you would use in the cage to perform these moves.

Today I lasted all 5-5 minute rounds, and did the optional squats and push-ups during my one minute rest.

All in all a very good workout for a fatty.
