New album soon (I know it has already leaked).

Anyone that hasn't heard Earth, you are missing out. Music is best described as country and western, instrumental drone metal.

Two of my favourites:

Thanks for this. I have only listened to "The Bees Made Honey..." because of my love for all-things-Frisell (Bill Frisell plays on three tracks).

Never heard these guys before.  Cool drone music with some nice, blusey slide playing at the end.

Edited, I found a version that you could embed.  Jesus, this Bill Frisell is becoming an addiction.

Ha, if you guys like Bill Frisell as well, you should check out my Ambient Americana list on discogs: http://www.discogs.com/lists/Ambient-Americana/115665

I've put together heaps of albums that sound like the above music i.e, country-influenced ambient and post-rock.

Dude... I was about to ask where Ry Cooder's "Paris, Texas" soundtrack fits into this idea of "Ambient Americana". Then I saw your "Nothing Out There" post. That's a key document, right there.
