No question about it, Tim Duncan has had a Hall of Fame based career and won big at every level.

Yet, he has seemingly done so with very minimal fan fare. Often, when talking about the best players of our generation, he's often an afterthought.

Perhaps this is because Duncan plays in a relatively small market and is by far not an outlandish "larger than life" personality.

Yet, his career is defined by doing everything right.

Where do you rank him?

I probably have him somewhere from #1 to #3... just putting top 5 to be safe.

 Top PF all time

Most experts have him on their starting all time starting  5, even though the PF position is the weakest all time wise and there is nothing that forces them to play a PF. He's top 10 all time, easily.

And the best player since Jordan.

Tim Duncan is a fucking Center... give it a rest.

He spent his entire career under and around the basket while his teammate "Centers" roamed the perimeter shooting 3-pointers.

He *was* the Center. Literally.

I never get why people try to say Tim is a center. Just because he is tall? I guess Magic Johnson was a center too.

Because he's 7'0. He plays the post and guards the paint..

So you are saying that for all of those years San Antonio was running the fabled 2 center offense? I mean, we all know power forwards don't play the post and guard the paint.

I will say that Tim has been playing the center role more the last couple of years, but not in his prime.

I love Barkley but the dude won no titles and he couldn't defend.

Jordan was his friend and even he said that Barkley didn't work hard at his game, and that is why he never won it all.
