Hero is in the hijack with 44. It's the first level so nearly everyone has their starting stack of 5000. The tourney is a shootout, so only 1 player advances from each table. Everyone limps to me, I limp in, it limps to the BB who raises to 200 (blinds are 25/50). Everyone calls.

Flop: 2h 3h 4c.

Utg +1 bets 900.

Hero?

 pause like you have a honest descion with over pair or  flush draw...then SHOVE allin:}

he may have 22 or 33

or overpair putting u on flush draw

Lots of cards on turn will scare a over pair from contuing if you falt call.

Plus hes betting 900 into 600 pot? 800 pot?

If he is willing to overbet a bit then your overbet also has a very good chance to get called

Clear cut all in

Cool. That's exactly what I did.

Then he turned over 56... LOL

I didn't improve, unfortunately.

I just tripled up in a sat to the 10k main event, though. :)

Thanks for all the input and advice, wreckker.

Depends if you have the 4h or not.  If not, this is an easy fold unless u are tilting and wanting to suck out.  If you have the 4h, at least you will know that your quads are good if you hit another 4.

 I'm just saying.  Are you good enough to fold top quads on the turn?

I see. So your point is that the shove is obvious and I shouldn't be questioning it just because I was actually behind. I posted it because I wondered if there was anotherr way to play it, maybe even preflop (raise or fold).

 I ran into the same spot. Same outcome. In a cash game. FML. A rebuy came later and won it back and then some nada you can do.
