Not yet signed, but Roger has verbally agreed to the fight. Would be an interesting style matchup.

Edit:  Added note that Roger has agreed to the fight, but Feijao has not as of yet.

great fight however i think it favors feijao heavily. strikeforce could potentially have a star with roger, and they should give him more exposure through a few more fights before throwing him to their ex champ right away. obviously roger needs the most work on his striking and feijao is a big step up in that department.

I'm not so sure this is that bad of a fight for Roger. If he is able to get this fight to the ground it becomes a very winnable fight for him. I mean Feijao is a great striker don't get me wrong, but he doesn't come from a wrestling background like Randleman and Prangley so this fight could actually be much easier for Roger style wise.

I think this is throwing Roger to the wolves way too quickly.

But I could be proven wrong, I can see Roger winning this as well.

This fight would be an exciting one... With Feijao leaving the cage after a devastating KO victory. Phone Post

A bit early for Roger to fight Feijao, no? I mean it's his 5th MMA fight and Feijao was the champion of the division just a few weeks ago.

It'd be nice to see Roger take a step up in competition considering he did beat a couple of mid-tier guys already. I could see Feijao's TDD posing a problem for him...

Not 100% sure, but I think this card will have five televised fights because there are no title bouts scheduled. The other recent "major" (non-Challengers) Strikeforce events have had title fights and that's why they've only scheduled four fights for television.

Just a note to add to this for full disclosure:

Feijao told Tatame this evening that he hasn't yet been offered the fight against Roger, but what I've confirmed is that this is the fight that Strikeforce is interested in and that Roger has already verbally agreed to it (he was offered it). The two remaining things to iron out are extending Roger's contract and ensuring that Feijao will take the fight.

So the fight is still just a possibility as I noted, but it's the direction Strikeforce hopes to go in.

Bad matchup for Roger. Devastating striker and great takedown defense. I'd rather see Roger get one or two more fights at upper competition before taking on someone of Feijaos level. Phone Post

I don't know, Henderson seemed to be able to take him down in the clinch with relative ease. If Roger manages to clinch with Feijao I think he takes him down easily. And then subs him. :)

Did anyone else find it weird that Feijao stuffed all (?) of King Mo's TD attempts and Hendo managed to take him down twice (?) without trying too hard? I guess he's better at defending double and single legs than clinch TDs.

WRESTLENOW - Roger needs to quit bjj,

its disrespectful to think that you can be the best in MMA while still competing in BJJ.
