36 players were paid. I went out in 10th. I had a healthy stack and was in the BB when the SB just completed the bet. The flop was Qc-Tc-(rag). I had T-7 offsuit. SB checked. I bet 2X. SB called. The turn was another T. SB checked, I bet, he raised and I shoved. (I think...I may have just overshoved after he checked).

He had QT for the boat. :(

I dont think there was any way for me to avoid the trap. Had the ten on the river not come, I would have been able to get away from any bet or raise, but once I had trips and with the flush draw out there...I just couldnt imagine him having a better hand.

I thought you didnt play online poker?

What is your opinion on the software there? I know there are a lot of top poker pros (Ivey, Durrr, etc) who supposedly play there and whatnot, but...I had a ridiculous amount of bad beats when I first started playing there (very low stakes though, so no big losses), and I still dont know what to think. Despite MY bad beats, I have seen a ton of others have huge bad beats as well. It seems to defy statistical probability, and Im always scared as hell to go all in on Full Tilt due to fear of a ridiculous "bad beat".

The other place I play is sportsbook.com, and that is better-plus being able to bet on sports which I like and can be a big moneymaker for someone with the bankroll and who does it right. They also have the double or nothing sit n gos. Those often arent quite as easy as they sound in theory though- it sounds simple-its fairly loose in the beginning- then eventually everyone wants to play tight and limp their way into the final half-and the small stack will go all in and noone wants to call them because...they want to limp in (and Im as guilty as the rest, you have to get a good stack in the early on), and it DRAGS on and on.

P.S. Andre I want to play you at Poker sometime-very low stakes though, I have no arrogance I want to play you and see how things turn out.

I have an account on Full Tilt, it would have to be low stakes though. Full Tilt or sportsbook.com

You bet on sports at all?

Polaris,

I dont play cash online. I only play tourneys.

It'd be great to play you. Small stakes are fine. Just send me a PM when you feel like playing.

I dont bet one sports...I try not to gamble at all.

Nice job Andre. I have more blind vs blind horror stories than I can count.

I took a shot the other day and played the 75K Guaranteed on FTP ($163 buy-in). Usually don't buy in for more than $26 for tourneys. I busted Jon Turner early on and got my buy in back so it was basically a freeroll, actually finished in 15th for $850 but was still disappointed. Just got down to 11 BBs and shoved with KQ and got called by the BB and his 68 took me down. 28K would have been nice!

Congratulations Pikes! I honestly make more mistakes from the blinds than anywhere else. I don't think I made a mistake here, but anytime I'm in the blinds I'm uncomfortable. I really think much of it has to do with the fact that in live cash you rarely play blind va blind because everyone tends to chop if it folds around to the small blind.
