Well this viola tured out to be a piece of crap. It won't tune at all and if I can get it anywhere near tuned, it won't stay there for more than a second. I used chalk to try and stop the pegs from slipping. Neither that or anything else have worked at all. I guess i got what I paid for. If anyone has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it. There are $100.00 Chinese violins/violas all over ebay.. Watch out for "Ebonized" finger boards and such.. One of my bandmates is a Luthier. He went to the American School of Luthiers in the 70`s and has been fixing/building violin family instruments ever since..

Can`t get him to ever work on a guitar though..lol

My suggestion is to sell it and get a better viola.. ;)

I would feel terrible selling that to anyone for anything. I think I may just keep it around for looks. I don't know, I feel like such a cheap ass.

A new bridge and some fine tuners will make it much more playable. Plus throw away the POS bow it probably came with and buy a graphite bow ($35.00)..

It`s sort of like a new guitar.. A pro setup makes a TON of difference..
