interesting coming from Roach and him knowing the two a more from everyone else. I would have thought Silva would of been the stronger of the two given just overall size, but I guess GSP is a bit more compact. thats funny how GSP just randomly shows up at the wild card. I would imagine what my reaction would be if I worked out over there and GSP suddenly shows up!

yea anderson and GSP have both worked with freddie, though I read that when Anderson was over there he really didnt go hard during sparring and it gave the wrong impression to freddie.

Manny Pacquiao shows up at Wild Card all the time, so the people who work out over there probably wouldn't even bat an eyelash at a relatively minor celebrity like GSP.

Not surprising or especially illuminating that Freddie sides with the guy he currently trains over the guy who stopped by for an afternoon or two years ago.

there is a picture of georges on the wall of wild card. a huge one. i think he is a big enough star that it would be a big deal to the people over there at the gym.

that interview with freddie is two years old. if you go into wild card right now you ll see the picture of georges. im sure peope would recongnize georges more so than anderson.

No argument here, I'm sure GSP is more recognizable in the US...

With the distance and hight and if Anderson can stuff the takedown (which is still a question considering Chael's success), then I think Silva takes this every time, he just has more weapons.

Roach's health looks worse to me, maybe it's just age. I hope he stays around for a long time.

Harold_Howard - Lol I still can't believe ppl think silva can take this, Gsp is 10x the fighter chael is and chael laid an ass whipping on him.

GSP has basically said he won't take this fight? Why is that?

Wrong. GSP said he is not considering any other fights until he defends his title, which is smart. He would have said the same thing if they asked him about a third BJ Penn fight. Also these were questions asked by the media, not Zuffa. People on the UG are so obsessed with this wet dream fight that they ignore these facts. Anderson was the one who actually stated he had no interest in dropping to 170, while GSP HAS expressed interest in moving up to 185 eventually.

LOL yeah his 'eventual' move to 185 after he spends a decade letting his body adjust. He has been asked these questions for a while now. The idea that his mind can't even consider other fights or contemplate a question until he fights Shields is just silly.

Don't get me wrong, I think GSP is awesome. I just find it funny that people post shit like, 'LOL Silva doesn't stand a chance and everyone knows it!!!' when if that were even 1% true, GSP would have no hesitation taking a quick fight at 185 to destroy him.

No offense, but I'm pretty sure Silva won that fight by submission.

Chael was on PEDs (and still lost the fight). Also, reports were that Silva was injured. If Chael can perform as well as last time, against a healthy Silva, AND piss clean, then we can talk about how he dominated the Silva fight.

Also, Silva finished Chael.

Quit acting like Silva wasn't injured. St. Pierre is nowhere near as physically strong or relentless as Sonnen and relies heavily on jiu-jitsu (after securing a takedown) unlike Sonnen who is simply a machine when it comes to pure wrestling. Sonnen would probably dominate Georges too.

GSP won't have his usual reach advantage and might even lack a speed advantage for once.

How hard is it to understand that gap said he will only move to 185 if it is a permanent move? He can't think of silva now because he is still at 170 and wants a year to pack on muscle if he moves up to 185. Why should he have to fight at 185 right away if he feels he would be too small to be competitive? Phone Post

when a trainer is a training a fighter, he always says his fighter will bet the other fighter.

Only exception is when the trainer lies to try to promote a mismatch
