I am currently in the market for some mats to put in my garage. I have room for 10 X 10 or 12 X 12.

What is a good mat thickness if I want to do everything (striking, takedowns, grappling)?

Any recommendations on particular types of mats for a home gym style setup?

Thanks in advance for any advice you can give me. If you have a home gym, i'd love to hear what type of setup you have as well as the training you do in your gym.

bought 2 zebra rollout matts, 5x10, unbelievable quality, very nice and comes with matt tape, just like the ones you find at class. 1.25 in thick, found mine on local craigslist for cheap.

I just bought 2 5x10's Resilite wrestling mats too. I also have a treadmill in the garage for cold or rainy days.
